Dagestan: investigator is suspected of contract murders
Magomed Akhmedov, an investigator of the Kirov District of Makhachkala, was detained on suspicion of committing several contract murders, said a source from law enforcement bodies of Dagestan.
According to the source, "the detainee is charged, in particular, of killing Magomedgadji Aliev, a deputy of the city assembly and the head of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise (MUE) 'Gorvodocanal' in May 2011."
The source has added that Akhmedov had made a confession. "Three more persons are suspects in the case; however, their names are not disclosed in the interest of the investigation," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the source.
According to power agents, Magomed Akhmedov, nicknamed as "Zayats" (Hare), had collaborated with members of one of the organized criminal groupings, headed by a prosecutor, the "Life News" writes.
According to law enforcement officials, Akhmedov has confessed of six murders.
So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments of Magomed Akhmedov or his advocates on this information of the investigation.
