"Rospotrebnadzor" allows two Georgian wine producers to supply wines to Russia

The "Rospotrebnadzor" (Russia's Federal Agency for Consumer Supervision) has allowed the two Georgian producers "Kindzmarauli Marani" and "Wine House Dugladze" to import their wines to the Russian market.

"Basically, the issue is settled; and they can prepare large batches," said Gennady Onischenko, the head of the "Rospotrebnadzor" and Chief Sanitary Doctor of Russia, as quoted by the "Interfax".

"At present, 59 other Georgian producers have submitted their applications for supplying their alcohol products to the Russian Federation; 37 of them have presented the necessary information for document verification," says the official statement posted on the website of the "Rospotrebnadzor".

According to Gennady Onischenko, the Georgian wines may appear in the Russian market in the near future.
