Woman from Makhachkala states disappearance of her husband

A disappearance of the 42-year-old resident of Makhachkala Gadji Akhmedov, a father of five babies, said his wife Patimat Akhmedova. She does not rule out that her husband could have been kidnapped.

"In the morning on December 11 Gadji went to work; he works as a welder," Patimat Akhmedova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "Around 7:00 p.m. he called me and said that he would go to the store and then come home. He was late, I worried and began calling him, but no one answered."

Today, according to the source, relatives appealed "to relevant bodies" with written statements, but so far Gadji Akhmedov's whereabouts is not known.

"I am afraid that he could be kidnapped, because he is a strictly practicing Muslim," she said.

Patimat has added that her husband was not registered by the police; the Akhmedov family has five young children, the youngest daughter has just turned eight months.
