Over 50 residents of Adygea came to Maikop to picket in support of Syrian Circassians

The picketers arrived from different regions of Adygea, including students and several Syrian Circassians. According to Sergey Koblev, a member of the "Adyge Khase", since the mass action had not been agreed with the authorities, they held solo pickets.

The organizers of the mass rally were three activists of the social movement "Adyge Khase" who coordinated the event with the leadership of their organization. However, the administration of Maikop did not allow a mass action on December 12 in Lenin Square in the city centre.

The people who gathered at 3 p.m. on December 12 in the square were told that the picket would not be massive. Five people who had passports on them took up posters "Let's save our countrymen!" and "Let's give a helping hand!" and stood at the opposite sides of the square to hold solo pickets. During two hours they were replaced by others picketers delegated by those present in the square.
