A resident of Ingushetia accuses the authorities of not keeping their promise to help her gravely ill child

A resident of Ingushetia accuses of inaction the authorities of the republic who according to her, promised to grant money on treatment of her daughter who suffers from an orphan disease and needs urgent therapy abroad.

Diana Kotikova aged five is ill with Moffuchi syndrome and Arnold-Kiari syndrome from birth, her mother Khidjat Kotikova said.

According to the woman, plural hemangiomas spontaneously appear on the child’s body and grow into muscle and nerve fibers which may cause bleeding. “Diana is feeling bad now. She spent six days in the resuscitation unit and is very weak”, user skala06 writes on LiveJournal.

According to the girl’s mother, Russian physicians failed to cure her daughter.

One of the clinics of Israel expressed readiness to treat the girl which will cost four million rubles, Kotikova reported. According to her, Bekhan Ozdoev, First Deputy of the Government of Ingushetia, and officials of the Ministry of Public Health promised support. Almost 10 months passed since then but the promise remains unfulfilled.

Ozdoev himself explained that he did not promise anything but only asked to give Kotikova his phone number emphasizing that the authorities of the republic already helped 32 persons to go to different clinics for treatment by plane.
