In Armenia, arrest lifted from property of journalist of newspaper "Zhokhovurd"
The court granted the motion of the defence in the lawsuit against the newspaper "Zhokhovurd" and lifted the arrest on the property of the correspondent of the edition Sona Grigoryan, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
The lawsuit on protection of his honour and dignity against the newspaper "Zhokhovurd" was filed by Khachik Khachatryan, the owner of the Yerevan poultry factory. He demanded to refute the publication that his factory was supplying eggs with expired shelf life and pay compensation for moral harm and his costs for a lawyer.
At today's session, the claimant has presented his demands, but the judge Ruben Apikyan has found that they were formulated with insufficient accuracy. In particular, the claim did not specify what particular phrases in the newspaper article had insulted Khachatryan.
The court has decided to grant additional time to the claimant for providing a precise wording of the claim. The next session is scheduled for May 9.
