Aslan Cherkesov's mother asks Putin and Kanokov to defend her son
Aslan Cherkesov, convicted for the murder of Yegor Sviridov, a fan of the "Spartak" FC, refused from his Russian citizenship, and was then placed in the "loony bin", his mother Sonya Cherkesova said in her video appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of Kabardino-Balkaria Arsen Kanokov.
Cherkesov served his term at Colony No. 17 of the UFSIN (Department of the Russian Penitentiary Service) for the Krasnoyarsk Territory, from where he was taken away on March 30, 2012. According to the UFSIN, on March 4, 2013, he was transferred to another colony in the Krasnoyarsk Territory "for systematic violations of the jail regulations."
In her appeal, Sonya Cherkesova asserts that her son was threatened with physical execution; therefore, she has appealed to the head of Russia with a request to "stop the killing of her son." "I fear for the life of my son, who received explicit threats," she said.
She has also appealed to the head of Kabardino-Balkaria. "I beg you, help me to save my son," said Sonya Cherkesova in her video appeal.
