Volgograd: activist of "People's Stroykontrol" states shelling of her car
The car of Victoria Sopoleva, the chair of the public movement "People's Stroykontrol", was fired on March 22 from a traumatic pistol in the yard of a house in Lavochkin Street of the Voroshilov District of Volgograd, the woman herself told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about it.
"My car has no side window. Some unknown people got in; they dug through all the documents and took away nothing. I hope they were hooligans; however, there may be other versions," she said.
The chair of the movement has added that earlier she received threats by telephone in connection with her public activities. Victoria Sopoleva filed an application with the police.
Roman Poglazov, the lawyer of the organizations, associates the incident with Sopoleva's professional activities.
The "People's Stroykontrol" is struggling against point-wise construction, cutting greenery, and for city improvement and road repairs," he said. "During this week only, we have filed three lawsuits against the Volgograd administration."
