Six parties and one bloc run for membership in Board of Elders of Yerevan

The Central Election Committee (CEC) of Armenia has finished receiving applications for participation in the elections to the Board of Elders of Yerevan. The proportional lists have been filed by six parties and one political bloc.

The lists were submitted by the Republican Party of Armenia, the "Rule of Law Country", the "Prosperous Armenia", the "Armenian National Congress", the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun", the "Mission", and the block of parties named "Hello, Yerevan", the website of the CEC of Armenia reports.

By the result of the elections to the Board of Elders to be held on May 5, the first number in the proportional list of the winning party or bloc will become the city Mayor.

The election campaign will last from April 7 to May 3.
