Magomedova: fate of missing resident Kaspiisk Murad Aliev remains unknown

The whereabouts of the missing resident of Kaspiisk Murad Aliev has not yet been established. According to Sapiyat Magomedova, the family lawyer, Aliev could be taken out of the IVS (temporary detention facility) in Kizilyurt.

The disappearance of Murad Aliev was reported on March 15 by his wife. A criminal case was initiated against Aliev, which is investigated by the Investigatory Department, said the lawyer Sapiyat Magomedova, who entered the case on March 21. According to her story, Murad Aliev was beaten after detention.

It is still unknown what Aliev is suspected of.

Around the noon on March 20, employees of the investigatory division of the republic's FSB arrived with a search warrant to the house of Murad Aliev's parents, said Patimat Alieva, the mother of the missing person. In her story, "about seven persons in uniform with submachine guns stood on the staircase; six more people were dressed in civilian clothes."

The power agents who conducted the search "searched through all the furniture across all the rooms, all the books; they found nothing, left the search protocol and left," explained Patimat Aliev. At the same time, as she said, one of the FSB agents said during the search that Murad Aliev was in North Ossetia.
