"Terek" FC from Chechnya may hold five matches without spectators

The "Terek" Football Club (FC) can be fined and punished by match without spectators for publicly insulting the referee Michail Vilkov from Nizhny Novgorod during the match with the "Rubin" FC from Kazan.

The match of the 21st day of the Russian football Premier League "Terek"-"Rubin" ended in a goalless draw. During the meeting, the stadium announcer pronounced a verbal insult against the referee. After the match, the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov confessed that it was he, who insulted the judge.

"I apologize to all of the football world for what I said heatedly; not before the referee, he earned the name of 'bribable' (corrupt)," the Chechen leader wrote in the social network Instagram, adding that he would seek a thorough investigation of the referee's work.

This incident can be classified as a violation of Article 101 of the disciplinary regulations: "a failure of the host party of public order and security at the stadium". The penalty under this point ranges from a fine of 500,000 roubles up to one-five matches at empty stalls, the ITAR-TASS reports.
