Action to collect things for children of Chechen refugees finishes in Perm

The action to collect things for children of Chechen refugees living in tent camps in Ingushetia has finished in Perm. The organizers of the action are the Perm regional branch of the Memorial Society and the Center to Support Youth Democratic Initiatives (Youth Memorial). The action was aimed not only at helping the children in need but at reminding of two dates: the 60th anniversary since the beginning of the illegal deportation of the Chechen and Ingush peoples and the 10th anniversary since the beginning of the Chechen war.

Memorial activists informed the collected things would be sent to Ingushetia soon. However, everyone can still pass a donation to the settlement account of the Memorial Society Perm regional branch.
