Ex-official of Volgo-Caspian territorial Department of "Rosrybolovstvo" is missing in Astrakhan

Ex-Deputy Chief of Volgo-Caspian territorial Department (VCTD) of "Rosrybolovstvo" Peter Kodyakov who not long before his disappearance promised the journalists to make public an information about the schemes of theft of money allotted on reproduction of fish resources disappeared in Astrakhan.

Peter Kodyakov disappeared on November, 18, 2012. His boat in which he shipped out got lost. However, the news of Kodyakov's disappearance came only on November, 27.

Until recently Kodyakov was holding the office of Deputy Chief of Volgo-Caspian territorial Department of "Rosrybolovstvo" but about two months before he was discharged. After discharge Kodyakov promised to make public some information that would let the public at large know the schemes of theft of money allotted to VCTD on reproduction of fish resources and development of projects of aquaculture, Gosrf.ru reports.

There is an information that Kodyakov received threats in connection with his promise to disclose the details of VCTD's illegal activities to mass media, Publicpost reports.

Kodyakov's location is still unknown in spite of thorough search in the delta of the Volga organized by his relatives. Local fishermen say that one can hardly survive alone in the rolling area of the delta without water, food and warm which is the most significant thing, "Obshaya Gazeta" reports.

There are yet no comments from the management or representatives of VCTD in connection with the news reported by mass media.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported incidents connected with illegal fishing and poaching in the delta of the Volga. Fishermen in Astrakhan expressed discontent with limitations of fishing.
