Maikop hosts solo pickets in solidarity with Syrian Circassians

On November 23 and 24, the capital of Adygea hosted solo pickets in solidarity with the Syrian Circassians. The pickets were held without incidents, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

From 12:00 a.m. till 02:00 p.m., in front of the building of the State Philharmonic of the Republic of Adygea, a solo picket was held by Sergey Koblev, a member of the movement "Adyge Khase-Circassian Parliament". He held a poster reading in Russian, English and Circassian languages: "Russia, Save Compatriots!"

"Everything went quiet. Law enforcement agents approached me, recorded my data and left the place. People came to me, asked questions and took pictures," Sergey Koblev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He has added that on November 25, he will again come to hold a solo picket in Lenin Square. "It is planned that the picket will be held from 12:00 a.m. till 02:00 p.m. Perhaps, after me, someone else will hold a solo picket," Sergey Koblev said.

On November 23, Maikop hosted one more solo picket in solidarity with the Syrian Circassians. It was held in Lenin Square by Adnan Khuade, a repatriate from Turkey. He held a poster reading in Russian and Circassian languages: "We demand urgent evacuation of Circassians from Syria to Homeland" and "If I exist, then Circassian and Circassian land will exist!"
