In Dagestan, two persons killed and two wounded in shootout

As a result of a shootout of taxi drivers in the Dagestani village of Tagerkent, two persons were killed and two others were brought to hospital with wounds. This was reported by a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan.

The conflict occurred at about 08:30 p.m. Moscow time near the border checkpoint "Tagirkent-Kazmalyar" in the Magaramkent District of Dagestan on the Russian-Azerbaijani border. According to preliminary information, the scandal involved the local taxi drivers. Firearms were used during the conflict.

"One person died in the place, one died in the hospital, and two others were hospitalized with wounds to their lower limbs. Field investigators are working at the place," the "Interfax" quotes the representative of the press service of the Republic's MIA.

According to preliminary police information, the conflict resulted from a quarrel about a parking lot. The Investigatory Department of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) in Dagestan confirmed the information about the conflict and the victims, RIA "Novosti" reports.
