Tbilisi Mayoralty ready to fulfil 15 out of 16 demands of striking bus drivers
The Tbilisi Mayoralty promises to fulfil all demands of public transport drivers, who took part in the strike, held on November 8, except for the demand to raise wages.
More than 1300 bus drivers took part in the strike. They presented their demands to raise wages, to improve working conditions, to regulate issues of fine system, health insurance and maintenance system.
The Mayoralty agreed to fulfil the demands on improvement of working conditions, regulation of stops, working order of buses, and reduction of fines from their wages in total, 15 out of 16 presented issues, the "Georgia Online" reports.
Meanwhile, representative of the Tbilisi authorities stated it was impossible to increase wages of municipal bus drivers this year. He recalled that three months ago, wages of municipal bus drivers was increased by 16 percent, the "News Georgia" reports.
