Adil Magomedov, participant of “Dagestani wedding” in Moscow, refused to acknowledge his guilt

During trial on administrative case of insubordination to the police in Moscow Garrison court Adil Magomedov, participant of the incident at the “Dagestani wedding” in Moscow refused to acknowledge himself guilty. His attorneys Fuad Mirzoev and Victor Malyshev also insist on the defendant’s innocence.

According to the police, on September, 30, guests of a “Dagestani wedding” in Moscow fired and were detained for insubordination to the demands of law enforcement personnel. The defendants’ relatives state that the incident was an action designed against them.

Today Magomedov’s attorneys stated procedural violations by the officials that took place during the incident and while drawing up documents after it.

Victor Malyshev called the inspection of the defendant’s car in the absence of witnesses “arbitrariness”.

State prosecution in court was supported by representative of Military Public Prosecutor’s office Roman Budnikov. He asked the court to acknowledge Magomedov guilty but refer the case to his military unit for disciplinary punishment.

During the trial witness Mikhail Nesterenko, inspector of Road Patrol Service, was interrogated. “Four times I asked the defendant to produce his documents at the crossroads of Tverskaya and Mokhovaya streets where the motorcade was stopped but he refused”, he said.

Magomedov replied that “nobody asked him to produce documents in the driving lane, just all of them inspected the car and that was all”.

Witness for the defense Shagban Shingarov was interrogated, either. He insisted that “the guys produced their documents to the personnel of Road Patrol Service at the crossroads of Tverskaya and Mokhovaya streets but nobody shouted or pushed the policemen away with their hands”.
