Armenian authorities respond to ECtHR's questions regarding complaint filed by Levon Ter-Petrosyan

The Armenian Government has responded to the questions of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) with regard to the complaint, filed by Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the leader of the oppositional Armenian National Congress. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by the press service of the Armenian Government.

In their responses, the Armenian Government presented to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) its arguments to prove that to Levon Ter-Petrosyan had not been subjected to home arrest and that actions had been applied to ensure his security. The content of the responses has not been disclosed.

The questions of the ECtHR related to the possible restriction of individual freedom and freedom of movement of Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the presidential candidate, during sitting strike, held in February 2008, and the use of home arrest against Levon Ter-Petrosyan on March 1, 2008.
