In Krasnodar, court refuses to release figurants in Sergey Tsapok's brother murder case

Today, the Appeals Instance of the Krasnodar Regional Court dismissed the appeals, filed by lawyers against the decision to extend the detention of three suspected members of the criminal grouping from the village of Kuschevskaya, accused of the murder of Sergey Tsapok's brother and other crimes.

In Krasnodar, the preliminary court hearings on the case against the grouping from the village of Kuschevskaya, which, according to investigators, was led by Vadim Palkin. Apart from him, Alexander Shal and Dmitry Devtyaryov, Alexander Mamaev and Igor Pogosyan, are also the figurants of the case. According to the investigators, they were not members of the grouping, but provided it with weapons. On October 19, the Court extended the detention of the defendants.

The lawyers of the defendants Vadim Palkin, Alexander Shal, and Dmitry Devtyaryov asked the Court to change the pre-trial restriction measure to the form, not involving deprivation of liberty, for example, to home arrest. According to the lawyers, being out of prison, the defendants would not prevent proceedings and not abscond, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

The judge of the Krasnodar Regional Court has reported that, the decision to extend the detention period was left unchanged and the lawyers' appeals were not satisfied, the "RAPSI" (Russian Agency of Legal and Judicial Information) reports.
