Tatiana Goncharova injured in an explosion in Rostov-on-Don on the Teacher’s Day left hospital

Employee of the Ministry of Education of Rostov region Tatiana Goncharova injured during an explosion of a parcel with a bomb on the Teacher’s Day left Rostov Emergency hospital No 2. The physicians successfully saved her eyesight.

On October, 5, a parcel exploded in a dwelling house in Shtakhanovsky street. A woman perished. Her daughter aged 40 who works in the municipal Department of Education was hospitalized in a grave state.

The injured woman lost one eye during the explosion, a representative of Investigative Department of Committee of Inquiry in Rostov region reported earlier.

On October, 29, Tatiana Goncharova left hospital, mass media informed on October, 31. “The patient left ophthalmologic unit of our hospital. She was brought here in a grave state. There were fears that she might lose one eye. However, the physicians successfully saved not only her eye but her eyesight, too”, Rostov News Agency quotes Head doctor of Emergency hospital No 2 Nelly Moiseeva.  

Tatiana Goncharova’s eyesight is worse now than before the incident, she will have to undergo a long-term treatment, “Rostov.ru” reports.

Director of institution of post-secondary technical training “Combat gauntlet” of Rostov-on-Don aged 58 and his twenty-seven-year-old deputy are suspected of committing the explosion. According to the investigation’s version, the suspects had conflict relations with the injured woman for a long lime, therefore they manufactured an explosive device, packed in in a holiday wrapping and sent the “present” to the woman’s home on the Teacher’s Day.
