Azg newspaper: Georgia secretly sold weapons to Azerbaijan

Georgia sold 6 SU-25 fighters to Azerbaijan in 2002, without notifying corresponding UN agencies. But for all that Georgia submitted the report to the United Nations according to which the country did not export arms from 1999 to 2002, the Azg newspaper, Armenia, reports with reference to a source in the United Nations. Azerbaijan, in its turn, submitted the report to the United Nations according to which the country bought 108 antitank guns from Ukraine and one T-72 tank from Slovakia in 2002. "This fact shows that Baku exceeded the limit specified by the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe," notes the newspaper.
