Zaur Dzeitov, an officer of Ingush police, sent on a mission to Chechnya, has disappeared under mysterious circumstances in Grozny. This was reported by his relatives, who turned to one of Chechen public organizations.

"On July 22, we received information from relatives of senior police lieutenant Zaur Dzeitov, 24, a resident of the village of Sleptsovskaya, Sunzha District of Ingushetia, that he disappeared on July 12 in Grozny under mysterious circumstances. According to his relatives, Dzeitov was sent to join the local MIA and worked for the PMK-3 at the Department for Chechnya of the Russian FSB, which is located in Uzuev Street in Grozny," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the Union of Non-Governmental Organizations (UNGO) of Chechnya.

The officer's relatives suggest that he could be kidnapped. They addressed various departments, but could not get any information about what happened to him.

"Dzeitov's relatives have reported that two days before Zaur's disappearance in Grozny, his close friend Badurgov was allegedly kidnapped," said the UNGO.

Officials of the Chechen MIA refused to comment on this fact.
