NAC: leader of "Kizilyurt" grouping killed in Makhachkala
Two militants have been liquidated in a special operation in Dagestan. One of them is Temirbek Temirbekov, the leader of the so-called "Kizilyurt" grouping, law enforcers report.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in a suburbs of Makhachkala because of the ongoing special operation, in the course of which power agents blocked a house with militants inside located in Sulakskaya Street; therefore, the CTO regime was introduced, said a source from law enforcement bodies. The owner of the house and his wife came out as a result of negotiations with power agents, while the suspected militants refused to surrender.
According to the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), the assassinated Temirbek Temirbekov, also known under the nicknamed of Abu Muaz, born in 1975, was involved in shelling of law enforcers and extortion of money from local businessmen, the "Interfax" reports.
The second casualty is Rustam Yakhyaev, born in 1973, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
So far, there are no comments of casualties' relatives in the context of the NAC's statement.
