Advocate: investigators protract with forensic examination of Aushev detained in special operation in Nazran
The advocate Luiza Isaeva has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that her petition filed more than a week ago and requesting to hold a medical examination of Akhmedhan Aushev, a resident of Nazran, detained during a special operation in Ingushetia and exposed, according to the defence, to torture by power agents, has not been considered yet.
During the first meeting with her client Aushev, the lawyer Isaeva saw traces of torture on his body. According to her story, the defendant confirmed that he had been tortured in order to knock out a confession.
In this regard, she filed a petition demanding a medical examination of Aushev; however, the petition has not been considered by the investigator. According to Isaeva, they deliberately protract with the medical examination "to give time for traces of torture to finally disappear." This, according to the lawyer, she said to Boris Tsakhoev, the investigator from the Investigatory Department of the ICRF for the North Ossetia-Alania, who runs the case of three people detained in Nazran.
Luiza Isaeva asserts that after the agreement on defending Akhmedhan Aushev had been concluded, she is facing various obstacles in carrying out her advocacy work.
