Search for missing 11-year-old girl is on in Adygea
Angelina Belova, an 11-year-old girl has disappeared in the settlement of Tabachny, Maikop District of Adygea. The investigation does not rule out that the girl could be murdered.
The criminal case on the fact of disappearance of the 11-year-old Angelina Belova was instituted on the grounds of an offence stipulated under point "c", Part 2, Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code (murder of a minor person), said the Investigatory Department for Adygea of the ICRF.
"The investigation has established that on July 16, at about 5:00 a.m., the parents of the girl discovered that their daughter had gone missing from the household No. 17 in the 4th Vinogradnaya Street of Tabachny of the Maikop District. The parents' search for the girl at relatives and friends gave no fruit; and they turned to law enforcement bodies," Oksana Beldinova, Senior Assistant to the head of the above Department, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Currently, the ongoing search activities are conducted in Tabachny and the village of Kuzhorskaya with involvement of employees of the MIA, MfE and the public.
"Special attention is given to operative-search activities along the Kurdjips River, running near the residence of the missing girl" Ms Beldinova has added.
She said that the family members of Angelina Belova had been questioned; and the girl's circle of friends is established.
Oksana Beldinova also said that the search of the earlier disappeared Kristina Gerasimova. 16, a resident of the village Kamennomostsky, Maikop District of Adygea, is also in process.
According to the source, a criminal case was not opened on that occasion, since the investigation did not associate the disappearance of the girl with the criminal aspect. "It was a road accident. Maybe the car was swept along with the girl into the river. The search is on," Ms Beldinova has added.
