Dagestan reopens investigation into murder of pregnant woman
In Dagestan, the criminal investigation into the shelling of Sapiyat Magomedova and Gasan Baisultanov, committed by law enforcement officers in 2006, was reopened. This was reported today by Mamatkhan Baisultanov, a resident of Khasavyurt.
Today, according to Mamatkhan Baisultanov, he was invited to meet staff members of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) in Dagestan. "At their place, I met Justice Major Djambulat Beletov, Senior Investigator of the first division for investigation of very important cases of the ICRF in Dagestan. He is the 10th investigator, who deals with the criminal case. He has told me that the case is under investigation again. Djambulat Beletov has also stated that investigatory measures would be extended for one more month after approval of the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office," Mamatkhan Baisultanov said.
