Prosecutor's Office accuses Novorossiysk authorities of inaction after flooding
The Prosecutor's Office of Novorossiysk appealed to court because of inaction of the authorities in eliminating the consequences of the flooding in the Krasnodar Territory. This was reported today by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.
According to the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation, because of the improper elimination of the consequences of the disaster, waste removal, clearing the area of the flooded areas, the Prosecutor of Novorossiysk made a reproof against the head of the city administration.
"The Prosecutor of Novorossiysk appealed to the court, demanding to recognize the inaction of the city administration, expressed in the failure to take measure to recover after the disaster the water discharge in Vodnaya Street in the city of Novorossiysk," reported the statement posted on the official website of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.
The prosecutor's check in Novorossiysk also revealed facts of improper performance of officials from the city administration on inspection of houses, affected by the flooding, poor preparation of survey certificates, and collection of documents, and all that led to delays in effecting compensation payments to victims, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
