Akhmed Salakhudinov, whose relatives claimed his kidnapping in Makhachkala, returns home
Ahmed Salakhudinov, whose relatives claimed yesterday, on July 10, his kidnapping in Makhachkala, is free. This morning, he was released from the OVD (Interior Division) of the city of Kizlyar.
Let us remind you that, according to a neighbour, a 27-year-old resident of Makhachkala, in the morning of July 10, armed men in camouflage and masks broke into the Akhmed Salakhudinov's house, severely beat him and took him away with them. The relatives of Akhmed Salakhudinov wanted to block Akushinsky Avenue to express their protest.
"We managed to contact the duty prosecutor in Makhachkala. He called somewhere and said in several minutes that Akhmed was detained and brought to Kizlyar by staff members of the local OVD," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Zaur Salakhudinov, a cousin of the kidnapped man.
The relatives of Akhmed Salakhudinov went to Kizlyar. "At first, an officer on duty at the Kizlyar OVD stated that they had no one in the building; however, after several phone calls, he reluctantly told us that Akhmed is kept at their place. In the morning, the Chief of the OVD came, and after his permission Akhmed was released. Till present, no one explained us the reason for his detention," Saur Salakhudinov emphasizes.
According to him, Akhmed Salakhudinov was not registered at the police station, and he was a strictly practicing Muslim.
Leader of the Kizlyar OVD was unavailable for comments.
