A journalist who disappeared in Rostov region killed, the suspect detained
Journalist Viacheslav Tkachenko who disappeared in Rostov-on-Don was found killed in the suburbs of the city. The man died from a blunt trauma of his head, the suspect is detained.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that journalist Viacheslav Tkachenko disappeared on June, 30. At about 18:00 Moscow time he left home in his own "Suzuki" car and did not return.
According to the investigation's version, Viacheslav Tkachenko was killed by his acquaintance, a local resident aged 29.
On June, 30, he met with Tkachenko near his garage upon his request. A quarrel occurred between the men there during which the suspect struck the sufferer in his head with a hammer three times. Realizing that Tkachenko showed no sign of life he put his body into his car, took it outside the city limits where he buried it in a deserted place, web-site of Investigative Department (ID) of CIR on Rostov region reported on July, 4.
The suspect left his car in the same place, "Donnews" referring to Valery Chekryshev, senior assistant of Head of ID CIR, reports.
In September, 2005, Viacheslav's brother Sergey Tkachenko was beaten to death in Rostov-on-Don, Life News reports.
