Georgia: "Crystal" Director detained for chlorine leakage
Levan Datuashvili, Director of the "Crystal" Company, was detained by the police of the Isani-Samgori District of Tbilisi, which investigated the leak of chlorine in the territory of one of the private enterprises in the dwelling settlement of Saknavti. As a result of leakage, 73 persons suffered.

According to doctors, already 33 persons, affected by the leakage of chlorine, were discharged from clinics. 18-year-old Lashi Narimanidze is in critical condition.
Levan Datuashvili, Director of the "Crystal" Company, faces charges under Article 240 "violation of safety rules during technical works that led to deterioration in persons' health status" of the Criminal Code of Georgia. In the event if his guilt is confirmed, he could face 2-5 years of imprisonment, the "Novosti-Georgia" reports.
Giorgi Gachechiladze, the leader of the "Green Party", all persons, affected by the leakage of chlorine in the dwelling settlement of Saknavti in the village of Lilo should receive compensation from the state based on the Law "On compensation for damage caused by hazardous chemicals", the "Georgia Online" reports.
