A deputy of district Duma and her husband in Volgograd region suspected of embezzlement of budget funds

Deputy of Gorodishe district Duma Svetlana Kudinova and her husband are suspected of swindle for the purpose of misappropriation of budget funds.

In March of 2010 Head of Gorodishe district organized an open auction on rent of cars for district Duma. The deputy's husband submitted a package of documents necessary for participation in the tender to district Administration. Upon the results of their consideration he was acknowledged winner. They signed a municipal contract with the man on rendering freight services.

According to the investigation's version, the deputy repeatedly submitted to district Administration notifications and reports of having allegedly used her husband's car for her official duties. For this reason money to a sum of over 70 thousand rubles was transferred to her husband's bank account, Investigative Department of Committee of Inquiry of the Russian Federation in Volgograd region reported on July, 2.

A criminal case was initiated on this fact. The husband and wife are suspected of committing crimes stipulated by part 2, clause 159 (swindle committed by a group of persons by previous concert) and part 3, clause 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (swindle committed with the use of one's official position), volgograd.ru reports.
