Bomb found and neutralized in technical room of nine-storey block in Nalchik
On June 22 in Nalchik, a TNT block and an explosive device were detected, said a source from law enforcement bodies.
According to his story, employees of the local MIA found and took away a 200-gram TNT block and an improvised explosive device (IED) from a technical premise of a nine-storey dwelling house in Vatutin Street.
The bomb with power of 25 grams in TNT (trotyl) equivalent was composed of a metal cylinder with a diameter of 6 cm and 10 cm long, filled with a mixture of aluminium powder and ammonium nitrate, a detonator and striking elements in the form of metal balls.
Employees of the OMON (riot police) of the MIA of Kabardino-Balkaria took the bomb to some safe place and blew it up, the source has added. The check of the fact is underway, the "Interfax" reports.
