In Astrakhan, Oleg Shein fined by 20,000 roubles for unsanctioned action
The Magistrate Court of the Kirov District of Astrakhan fined Oleg Shein by 20,000 roubles for holding an unsanctioned rally, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
Let us remind you that Oleg Shein, a member of the "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" (Fair Russia) Party, was detained on June 12 during a protest action on charges organizing an illegal political march. Three of his supporters were detained together with him. On June 19, the Magistrate Court of the Kirov District of Astrakhan began to consider the case against Oleg Shein, who was accused of violating the law on mass actions.
The Court found Oleg Shein guilty under Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation violation of established order of holding a meeting, rally, demonstration, procession or picket, and he was sentenced to a fine in the amount of 20,000 roubles.
Oleg Shein intends to challenge the Court's decision.
