Grozny residents report on kidnapping of three young men in Chechen capital
On June 17, Viskhan Daudov, a 27-year-old resident of the village of Staraya Sunzha, was captured and driven away to some unknown destination from the mosque of the Grozny village named after Kalinin. According to residents of Grozny, along with him, armed men in uniform drove away two other young men, whose names were unknown.
According to the informant, who preferred to remain anonymous, the kidnapping took place at 9:00 p.m.
"At that time, the young people were busy with the contract repair works in the mosque. Armed men, who entered the mosque, did not charge the detainees of anything; however, they said that they were fulfilling the order of Colonel Djikhad. At detention, armed men behaved properly: they did not beat the detainees and did not wring their hands," said the source of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"I do not know about the charges against my son. He is a God-fearing believer. Meanwhile, his phone has been switched off for three days already. Yesterday, I filed a complaint about disappearance of my son. I brought it to the Lenin Police Division. There, they accepted my complaint and wrote my phone number. An officer on duty said that if they received any information, they would call me," the woman said.
The officer on duty in the Lenin District Police Division in Grozny told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the complaint about the disappearance of Viskhan Daudov had been accepted to work. When asked to provide contact telephone number of the investigator, tasked to conduct the case, the officer answered in the negative.
