In Tuapse, court starts debates at trial of ecologists Suren Gazaryan and Evgeny Vitishko
Judge of the Tuapse District Court announced debates in the case against ecologists Suren Gazaryan and Evgeny Vitishko, who were accused of damaging a fence around the so-called summer cottage of Alexander Tkachov, Governor of the Krasnodar Territory. Public prosecutors demanded to sentence Suren Gazaryan and Evgeny Vitishko to three years of conditional sentence.
During today's court session, the prosecution's witnesses were questioned. Immediately after the questioning of the prosecution's witnesses, the prosecutor demanded to immediately start the debates.
The Court dismissed five motions filed by Suren Gazaryan and Evgeny Vitishko. The defendants asked for time to prepare for the debates. The Court gave 30 minutes, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
