Nalchik resident, who claimed that police beat his son, reports on search of his house

At present, in Nalchik, people in masks carry out a search of the house belonging to Muradin Berov, who earlier reported that officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Kabardino-Balkaria beat his son. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" by Muradin Berov himself.

According to him, people, who carry out the search, brought witnesses with them. They do not allow anyone, including representatives of the Kabardino-Balkarian Human Rights Centre and members of the Public Chamber of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), to enter the house.

Muradin Berov fears that the people, conducting the search, can plant weapons or other prohibited items to force him to withdraw his earlier complaint on the brutal beating of his son Inal Berov at the MIA of the KBR.

Valery Khatazhukov, the head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Human Rights Centre, also believes that the search of the Beroev family apartment was caused by their attempts to bring to justice the officers, who beat Inal Berov. According to Valery Khatazhukov, the probability is high.

"These people refuse to introduce themselves. They brought witnesses with them. The house is blocked by heavily armed special unit," emphasizes Valery Khatazhukov.

According to the message, which came to the SMS-service of the "Caucasian Knot", law enforcement officers summoned Inal Berov himself for questioning and want to detain him.
