Speaker of Abkhazian Parliament expects new Georgian president not to unleash war

Speaker Nugzar Ashuba thinks that the elections in neighboring Georgia are a matter of its internal affairs. He wished the Georgian people well. At the same time, he wished that they would not found themselves mistaken in their new elect and that he would not involve the county in the next military adventure. Nugzar Ashuba has no doubt as to the desire of the new Georgian leadership "to see Abkhazia only as a part of Georgia". "But we are an independent state, and we are not inclined to renounce it, the speaker said. We declare for the good-neighbor relations with Georgia, when the parties are equal in rights, and we would like the new Georgian authorities to understand it."
