A resident of Karachay-Cherkessia won the World Cup in judo

Arsen Pshmakhov, athlete from Karachay-Cherkessia, became prize-winner of World Cup tournament in judo in Baku. In the cup final of weight class under 81 kg Pshmakhov gained victory over Italian Matteo Markontsini. 

Arsen Pshmakhov is an alumnus of Republican Olympic Reserve school in judo.

The athlete's trainer is his father Aiub Pshmakhov, Honoured trainer of Russia in judo.

A little earlier, junior judoists from Karachay-Cherkessia won medals at European championships.

The "Caucasian Knot" already reported that Ismail Yurusov took the third place at the junior Championship of Europe in judo which passed off in Lommel, Belgium, at the end of September, and Ramazan Kodzhakov became silver prize-winner at these events held in Malta in June.

    In Novorossiysk, a court found Natalia Fedorenko, an advocate of blogger Vadim Kharchenko*, guilty of violating privacy and banned her from practicing law for two years. Natalia Fedorenko was also sentenced to community service.
