Armenian Defense Ministry denies statements by Azerbaijan on killing of two shepherds

The Armenian Ministry of Defense has denied the statements by the Azerbaijan side that two Azerbaijan shepherds were killed by snipers as a result of a breach of the cease-fire regime by the Armenian side.

No exchange of fire has been registered for the last few days in the Fizulinsky direction of the contact line between the Karabakh and Azerbaijan armies, reported the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry. Moreover, the Azerbaijan side opened machine-gun fire in the direction of Mardakert in the evening of January 7, but the Armenian side did not reacted to it, stated the Armenian ministry.

To note, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan issued a statement on January 7, accusing the Armenian snipers of the Monday murder of two shepherds: Orudzh Shukyurov and his son Mukhubbat Shukyurov.
