Human rights explanatory dictionary to be published in Azerbaijan

The Human Rights Institute of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences is going to publish the first in the world human rights explanatory dictionary in 2004.

"We can announce without any reservations that this dictionary will have no analogues in the world in the methodology used to compile it," the director of the institute, Rovshan Mustafayev, said on January 6.

According to him, not only legal aspect but also political, economic and other theories will be taken into consideration during the creation of the book. The idea to create a human rights explanatory dictionary has already received backing from experts of Lund University, Sweden, which is a partner of the Council of Europe in the field of human rights.

The book will be published not only in Azerbaijan but in Russian too to popularize studies of the issue of human rights protection.
