In Volgograd, police officer is accused of bribe-taking
The Volgograd Prosecutor's Office accuses an officer of the road-and-post service of taking a bribe.

The violations that he revealed in the work of the contract organization - the "Promtekhservis" - threatened a fine of 200,000 roubles to be imposed on the contractor. The policeman offered to settle the problem for 5000 roubles. When receiving the money in the Dzerzhinsk District he was detained. A criminal case was initiated against the 31-year-old policeman under Article, part 3, of the Criminal Code, which assumes a fine of 40-70-times the sum of the bribe or imprisonment for the term from 3 to 7 years with a 40-fold fine, the IA "Vysota-102" reports.
