MfE of South Ossetia distributes Russia's humanitarian aid
Today, the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) of South Ossetia has started distributing the humanitarian aid, which arrived in the republic from Russia within the framework of the inter-departmental humanitarian campaign.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 24 the central square of Tskhinvali was the venue of the transfer of the Russian humanitarian cargoes to the Government of South Ossetia. The convoy organized under the auspices of the 179th Rescue Centre of the Russian MfE started from Noginsk near Moscow on August 21 and arrived in South Ossetia on August 24. The column included 11 trucks and brought 116 tons of supplies. Sergey Shoigu, Russian Minister for Emergencies, came to Tskhinvali to commit the delivery.
On September 5, they began distributing the humanitarian aid. "This week we are going to distribute the humanitarian aid in the republic. It will be brought to orphanages, the fund for helping the wounded persons, the committee of killed and injured, and to the boarding school," the IA "Res" quotes Anatoly Bibilov, the Minister for Emergencies of South Ossetia, as saying.
