Relatives of a man convicted for complicity in gunmen's activities ask to allow him to serve his penalty in his motherland
Relatives of Renat Ismailov sentenced by Krasnodar court to four years of colony for financing a paramilitary group on August, 31, are going to appeal to Committee for adaptation of gunmen of Dagestan asking for help in his transfer to his native republic for serving his penalty.
"The man was sentenced to a term of custody and is serving it in Krasnodar. It would be better if he served the rest of the term at home for we all would then feel more calm and it would be easier for us to visit him", resident of Makhachkala Gulia Khalikova said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
She also considers that her farther-in-law was not involved in any crime. "Though Renat confessed to the investigators to have agreed to render aid to the gunmen the video records which figured in the case as the main probative base had nothing to do with gunmen", Khalikova declared.
According to her, the video records of her relative were made "at the moment when he was making money transfers to a sum of five thousand rubles for treatment of his gravely sick daughter".
It should be reminded that on August, 31, Sovietsky district court of Krasnodar sentenced Ismailov to four years of imprisonment.
