Session on Magmadovs' case rescheduled for September 5
The consideration of the criminal case initiated against the natives of Chechnya Apti and Aishat Magmadov, accused of involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs), has been postponed until September 5, because Egle Kusaite's evidences have not arrived to the Moscow Regional Court.
Apti and Aishat Magmadov are accused of promoting terrorism and IAF establishment; they are kept in custody at the "Lefortovo" prison.
Earlier, the defendants' advocates, when presenting their evidences, filed a motion to announce Kusaite's evidences, where she confessed that her evidences against Magmadovs were given under pressure. The petition was satisfied; however, but the documents with evidences have not yet arrived. Musa Khadisov, a defence advocate, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the documents were probably in translation from Lithuanian into Russian.
The session lasted for about 20 minutes. Tamara Magmadova, the defendants' mother, and three defence lawyers were present in the courtroom of the Moscow Regional Court. The case is run by a panel of three judges.
