Mikhail Saakashvili won 95% of votes in presidential election, according to latest data

According to the latest data, Mikhail Saakashvili won 95% of the vote in the snap presidential election on January 4. Such data were given by head of the Georgian Central Election Commission (CEC) Zurab Chiaberashvili at a press conference in Tbilisi. These are "official preliminary data", he emphasized. The CEC is still receiving information from some Tbilisi electoral districts, from polling stations abroad and from regional election commissions.

Besides, Mr. Chiaberashvili noted that several facts of violation of the electoral legislation would probably come to trial.
