Father of missing Ingush resident complains of lethargic inquiry
In Ingushetia, the father of the kidnapped Akraman Ugurchiev has turned to the republic's Prosecutor's Office, Ombudsperson and Security Council. So far, the officials and security agents, involved in search of Akraman Ugurchiev and Umalat Bersanov, can say nothing to their relatives, Salman Ugurchiev, Akraman's father, said.
"A check is underway on the fact of disappearance of Bersanov and Ugurchiev," Zalina Katieva, the spokesperson of the Prosecutor's Office, has assured.
However, according to Ugurchiev-senior, none of the officials and power agents helps relatives in searching the missing guys. "I tried more than once to meet the head of the republic Yunus-Bek Evkurov; all in vain. We are 'kicked-off' everywhere, as if not person's life is in question, but a missing dog or cat," the father was outraged.
Apart from power bodies, he also addressed human rights organizations. "I've turned to independent human rights defenders in Europe, to the Council of Europe and European Parliament. I've also addressed the Russian Human Rights Centres "Memorial" and "Mashr".
