Young people from the regions of Northern Caucasus gathered at the forum “Mashuk-2011”

On Monday, July, 4, North-Caucasian educational forum “Mashuk-2011” took its official start. Representatives of young people from all the regions of Northern Caucasus, guests from Abkhazia, South Osetia and Ukraine came to take part in it.

The camp will work in two shifts from July, 3, till July, 19. The total number of its participants will make 2,4 thousand boys and girls.

“My major goal at “Mashuk” was to promote my project and receive a grant, - a student of Ingush State University Magomed-Bashir Ashuev, participant of the forum from Ingushetia, said about his plans. – My project is connected with sports and tourism. It is an opening of a boathouse in Nazran, there had been nothing like this in the Republic of Ingushetia before. There is a big pond in the center of the town where a lot of people come for vacation. We want to establish a kind of infrastructure to be able to have a good rest there and develop boating in the republic”.

“The delegation from Ukraine arrived in order to share experience with its Caucasian colleagues from Russia. Tourism in Ukraine is well developed, in particular, well-known health resorts of the Crimea and Carpathians, student Evgeny Fedorov, guest from Ukraine, said. – Our long-term experience of tourist development lets us give a good advice and get a new experience, in our turn. We came to the Caucasus for the first time and we like it here. All of you are frank people and the stereotypes imposed on us concerning the Caucasus and Caucasian people have disappeared at this forum”.

Meetings with representatives of political and business élite- of the region and the country, cultural and sports figures and representatives of traditional religions are planned during the whole work of the forum.
