Power agents: planting a bomb at Irganai HPP in Dagestan by employee is not excluded

The law enforcement bodies of Dagestan are searching Abdullah Nustapaev, a resident of Gimry village, Untsukul District, who had worked at the Irganai Hydraulic Power Plant (HPP) and disappeared after the fire. Power agents do not exclude that Vladimir Redkin, chief engineer of the Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) "Sulak Hydropower Cascade", released from captivity, could have given data about weak places of the HPP to terrorists.

The organizer of the terror act could be Ibragim Gadjidadaev, leader of the Gimri grouping. He is in federal search and considered to be involved in attempts on militiamen and the murder of Gazimagomed Magomedov, Deputy of the People's Assembly of Dagestan.

As reported by a source in power agencies of Dagestan, Vladimir Redkin was kidnapped by unidentified persons at night on July 22 and released on September 3. Law enforcement bodies of Dagestan refused to make comments on the place where Redkin had been all this time, and how his release was achieved.

Meanwhile, the investigatory division of the Department of the FSB for Dagestan opened a criminal case on the fact of the incident at the Irganai HPP under Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (subversive act).

Let us remind you that on September 7, at about 10:40 p.m. Moscow time, at the Irganai HPP - the second plant by power in the whole Northern Caucasus - a clap was heard with a further cable ignition. The fire of lubricant and smoke were completely liquidated on that very night.

On September 9, at examining the HPP, employees of the FSB detected a self-made explosive device under one of hydraulic units. A plastic bag contained two 1.5-litre bottles, connected by wires with a Nokia telephone.

The power of the bomb made over 3 kilos in trotyl equivalent. Close to the bomb they found a mine-trap in the form of a ball pen with an empty shaft, filled with small crystal balls. A rotation of the pen should loop the electric circuit and trigger an explosion.
