Dokku Umarov changes his mind to retire from Imarat Kavkaz leader

Dokku Umarov, leader of Chechen militants, who had earlier appointed his successor - Aslambek Vadalov, - has now stated that he would not resign.

In a video report placed on one of the sites, which support militants, a person looking like Dokku Umarov makes a statement running that because of the current situation in the Caucasus he finds it impossible to retire from the post of Amir of Imarat Kavkaz.

The person says that the previous statement is cancelled and adds that it "was completely forged." Umarov also adds that his health is OK.

The statement notes that is was done on August 2.
