Kadyrov rejects pre-judicial reconciliation with Orlov

Andrei Krasnenkov, lawyer of President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov has stated that he had offered Oleg Orlov, head of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial", to discuss reconciliation of the parties, but received no answer.

"I personally called to the office of 'Memorial' and suggested to have a meeting and discuss chances of closing the case, but there was no reaction - the telephone kept silent," said Kadyrov's lawyer and added that now the case would be considered in court.

Mr Krasnenkov also hopes that President of Chechnya will win the process as "the evidences on the case are essential and very strong," as the "Interfax" reports.

Meanwhile, on June 18, the press secretary of President of Chechnya said that Kadyrov hadn't filed any new claims against the head of the HRC "Memorial", and reconfirmed that Kadyrov had recalled his claim against Orlov on request of his mother.
